DeltaMass MT Overview

The DeltaMass Flowmeter combines a UniMag magnetic flowmeter and a low level gamma ray density sensor in one unique package to accurately measure mass flow of liquids with dissolved and undissolved solids in pipes 4 - 18 in. (100 - 450mm). This flowmeter has no moving parts or vibrating tubes and is easy to service in the field.

The encapsulated sensors of the DeltaMass flowtube are mounted in a plane perpendicular to the source and scintillation detector of the integral density sensor. Volumetric flow rate and density measurements are processed in a remote 4411e magnetic flowmeter transmitter and remote X99 microprocessor. The X99 continuously calculates and displays the mass flowrate, density, specific gravity, and % solids in any desired engineering units. These are normally expressed in dry state units, unless otherwise specified. Two isolated 4-20 mA outputs are provided for mass or volumetric flowrate, and density or % solids. Typical DeltaMass applications include dredging and mining slurries, waste treatment sludge, kaolin, lime mud and high consistency pulp.
